What Questions Can I Ask?

You can book an appointment with a Career Educator & Coach for International Students to get a career consultation, discuss how your degree connects to careers, review your cover letter or resume, prepare for an interview, and many other career-related topics. We also support students with further education, including CV and personal statement strategies and graduate program applications.

Here are some examples of the common questions:

  • Can I get help with my resume, cover letter, or job interview preparation?
  • How do I get started with searching for a job?
  • Will I be able to get a job if I don’t have any Canadian work experience?
  • Can I use my experience from abroad and will it be helpful in my job search?
  • How do I make the most of LinkedIn?
  • How do I build my network if I don’t know anyone in my field?
  • Will employers hire me if I am not a Canadian Citizen or have permanent resident status?

See the information below for specific events, workshop topics, dates, and times.
