Support with Career-Related Questions
Are you an International Student who is graduating and looking for a full-time job? Or searching for part-time or summer employment while you are studying?
We offer specific support for international students and offer a number of services in partnership with the Queen's University International Centre (QUIC).
Our Career Educator & Coach for International Students can support you whether you are looking for a job, considering further education, or making career decisions. You can learn more about the supports that Career Services offer below.
- Drop-in Advising is offered in-person and via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EST. Please refer to the QUIC Events Calendar for details, including the Zoom link.
- Individual 30-minute appointments are held both at QUIC and at Career Services (Gordon Hall, 3rd floor) and can be booked through QUIC Booking Page or MyCareer portal.
- Career Services workshops and events are open to all students. Use the MyCareer portal to view various offerings and to register.

What Questions Can I Ask?
You can book an appointment with a Career Educator & Coach for International Students to get a career consultation, discuss how your degree connects to careers, review your cover letter or resume, prepare for an interview, and many other career-related topics. We also support students with further education, including CV and personal statement strategies and graduate program applications.
Here are some examples of the common questions:
- Can I get help with my resume, cover letter, or job interview preparation?
- How do I get started with searching for a job?
- Will I be able to get a job if I don’t have any Canadian work experience?
- Can I use my experience from abroad and will it be helpful in my job search?
