Support Service


Drop-in Career Advising at QUIC

A career counsellor from Career Services will be available at QUIC today 11:30am -1 pm to help with your quick career questions, including resume/CV support and job search strategies. Come learn more about resources and services available to international students. 

No registration required, support is provided first come first served.

Monthly Mondays at 11:30am - 1:00pm

Wondering how to prepare to attend and make a great first impression at the career fairs happening on campus? Learn how to stand out from the crowd and be successful at these high profile events at Queen’s.

Resumes and Cover Letters

This workshop will help you use key strategies in your resume/CV for highlighting your unique skills, knowledge and experience as you apply for jobs and further education. To get the most benefit from this workshop, it is helpful to have a specific opportunity or industry that you are targeting but it is not necessary. Please bring a draft copy of your resume and cover letter to work on and refer to, if you have them.

Summer Job Search & Networking

 How do I get a summer job?  Where and when should I start? This session will help you start developing a personalized summer opportunities search plan.  Learn to connect with opportunities in the locations and sectors you are aiming at, networking strategies, and introducing yourself effectively.

Skills and Interviews 

Are you interested in staying in Canada and working after graduation? In this workshop, you will learn how to talk about your skills and prepare for interviews. Come prepared to practice and walk away feeling more ready and confident with interviewing.
