Connect with a Career Coach

You can book an appointment with a Career Educator & Coach to get career or job-related consultation, discuss how your degree connects to careers, review your cover letter or resume, prepare for an interview, and many other career-related topics. We also support students with further education, including CV and personal statement strategies and deciding which graduate programs to consider.

Every current Queen’s student may book up to 3 appointments total per academic year from September to August (including Career Coaching and Cover Letter or Resume Reviews). If you require additional appointments, this can be discussed with your Career Coach.

Upon graduation,1 additional year of access to appointments and services starts after the last semester in which you were enrolled in courses.

Drop-in Career Advising

What is drop-in career advising?

Drop-in career advising does not require booking an appointment. Our Career Coaches are available for students in our Career Services office to discuss any career-related topics. Sample questions may include:

  • How can I find organizations related to my interest?
  • How can I get started finding a part-time/summer job?
  • Where do I start when researching graduate programs?

If you're thinking about these or other quick career, job search or education questions, stop by during drop-in career advising hours! Drop-In Career Advising is being offered both in person and online - check the events calendar for the online link.

Need your resume/CV/cover letter reviewed?  While we can take a brief look at your documents during the drop-in advising time, it is recommended to book a Resume Review Appointment.
