Career Support and Tips

At Career Services, we empower and support students and recent graduates (up to 12 months after graduation) to design a rewarding career journey that leverages their education and skills to impact the world positively. We provide services including individual advising/coaching, workshops, and self-directed learning resources. 

The following services are available: 

  • Job Postings - exclusive access to thousands of posting that are on- and off-campus 
  • Career Coaching appointments - one-on-one appointments (30 minutes; in person or online) to help you explore your skills and talents, further education, and career options
    • International students can book specifically with the Career Educator and Coach for international students, who also offers drop-in sessions and appointments at QUIC
  • Resume Coaching appointments - one-on-one appointments (30 minutes; in person or online) to help you refine your job applications (resumes, CVs, and cover letters) 
  • Drop-in advising - (15 minutes; no appointment required) with Career Coaches 
  • Workshops - online and in-person that help you develop your job search and job application skills 
  • Career Fairs - opportunities to meet employers at Career Fairs and networking events 
  • Experiential learning opportunities, including volunteer, community engagement and research opportunities

Career Prep Modules

The Career Prep Modules are a series of self-directed resources designed to support your career development on your schedule. The modules cover skills and strategies on the following topics: 

  • Writing resumes  
  • Writing cover letters  
  • Preparing for interviews  
  • Expanding your network  
  • Exploring your career options

Each module is divided into sections based on different topics. You can review an entire module or review one section at a time – in any order. On average, one module will take 45 minutes to complete.
